If you haven’t been to the gym in a while, then take things slow and ease yourself back into a fitness routine. Going in hard will only result in too-sore muscles and being unable to exercise for the rest of the week! Set specific goals that are realistic to your fitness level, remember you can always adjust them as you go!
Plan Time for Fitness
As the saying goes: ‘Fail to plan, plan to fail’. Treat exercise as you would any other commitment. Look at your schedule and put your workouts in your diary. If you plan your exercise like any other obligation, then you are more likely to stay committed. Start off with one or two sessions a week and stick to the plan. You will gain a real sense of achievement just a week into your new workout schedule.
